We are want sitting MPs to attend climate candidate forums so that community members are able to better understand their climate policies.
In the federal electorate of Higgins, 75% of voters want the federal government to take stronger action to address climate change.
Higgins Climate Action Network (CAN) is an alliance of local volunteer groups who share a concern about the climate emergency.
On Thursday 5 May, Higgins CAN is hosting a pre-election Climate Candidates Forum and has invited Dr Katie Allen MP (LNP), Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah (ALP) and Sonya Semmens (The Greens) to speak to the Higgins community.
Dr Ananda-Rajah and Ms Semmens have confirmed they will attend. However, Dr Allen has not yet confirmed whether she will be attending.
Please join us in encouraging Dr Katie Allen MP to attend the Higgins Climate Candidates Forum! We would love to hear from our local representative to have a full understanding of what the three parties offer Higgins voters when it comes to climate action.
